Our activities
Aegee organizes a wide variety of activities, encouraging integration, cooperation and communication through young people, supporting student mobility and the meeting of different cultures. Every year, thousands of young people across Europe participate in the projects created by our members. AEGEE gives the students the possibility to meet each other, work, discuss and have fun all together.

Our main activities:
Action Days: at the same time, all over Europe AEGEE locals carry out various activities, which deal with one topic and together provide a great and complex composition of results, e.g.: Socrates Action Day, European Day of Languages or Dance Action Day .
Case study trip: research trips aiming to increase the knowledge on a specific topic ( like democracy, youth issues, standards of living and study, nationalism and minority issues) concerning a specific area.
Events: it’s
impossible to describe the pulsating heart of AEGEE, all the imagination and
ideas of all the people that constitute the network. Usually an event is a
specific activity, that can last from two up to seven days,
with
a little participation fee (never more than 70 euro including lodging, meals and
social activities) for a specific number of persons from the others sections of
the network. Obviously doesn’t exist any limit (except imagination) for the kind
of event you can organize: international conference, seminars, intensive
courses, cultural trip, ecologic camp, meetings in occasion of local special
celebration, parties, food and wine tasting tour... Next to these ones there are
the main events connected with the development of the projects, internal
education and the statutory event (like Agora and EBM).
Projects: every year, during a General Assembly (AGORA), AEGEE members decide on a Yearplan Topic -the thematic frame for projects involving whole Network, e.g. “Youth & Globalization” -2003, “European Identity” -2004 and “Tolerance - Acceptance - Peace” –2005. Moreover AEGEE organizes various conferences, seminars and smaller projects on local and European level. A European project is the one organized by more then one European body and local, coordinated by the specially created team and is united by one central topic and aim. Every aegee member can develop project with people from different countries, in various field. These activities usually have the support of European institutions, foundations and multinational companies.
Summer Universities: unique international summer courses, successfully carried out by AEGEE since 1988! Every year, in around 100 places all over Europe, multicultural groups of 20-50 young people, meet together to enjoy their cultural variety. They can focus on: art, history, languages, nature or sports. .
Trainings: AEGEE offers to its members a professional Internal Education System with about 8 international trainings (different kinds of "European Schools") and many Local Training Courses per year. Trainings are based on a balanced combination between theory and practice in the formula of lectures followed by casework. Trainings are a tool of knowledge transfer within the organization, help members to develop their personal skills and complement education with lifetime experiences.
Working Groups (WG): are the thematic backbone of AEGEE. They are multinational groups of AEGEE members which organise events on a specific topic, such as education policy, minorities in Europe and environmental issues.
