What happens after the application is sent
Your applications went in a database that contains the applications from all over Europe, waiting that responsibles of each Aegee-section will approve the one referred to their local. Basically this responsible will check that the applicants are regularly Aegee member.

Later
an automatic program (script) will send all the local
organizers, via mail, the list of all the students pre-selected to attend their
SU.
At this point the local organizers make a selection of
participant, mainly based on your motivation letter. It’s always good if at the
moment to start the selection the organizers would have received one or more
e-mail from your side, even with some photos.
Toward May the list of accepted participants are ready,
together with a waiting list and the list of not accepted people. Always some
accepted students will delete their participation and so they will be replaced
through the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list, or even if you were
rejected :-), we suggest to write the organizers to let them know how you are
sad for their decision and specify that you really would like to attend their SU
and so beg them to keep you in consideration as possible participant if there
would be the opportunity.
After this step the last chance to take part at the
project are the “last minute”: if someone, after he confirmed his participation,
decide not to attend the Su any more advising the organizers, then an advice is
sent on the mailing lists of the Summer University project. In this case the
most important thing is to answer quickly.
